Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mason Storm!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Pidingele Morokoie!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Mauricio Rocha and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Storm throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Storm swings for the body but Morokoie moves out of range.
Morokoie tries to clinch but Storm is having none of it.
Morokoie shoots in for a double leg but Storm sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Morokoie scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Morokoie shoots in for a takedown but Storm shows good takedown defense.

Morokoie gets caught napping as Storm dives in and scores a takedown. Morokoie manages to retain guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Morokoie shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Storm sprawls well. Storm wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Morokoie gets slowly back to his feet.

Storm shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Morokoie manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Storm stands up and waves to Morokoie to follow him.

Morokoie ducks under a wild hook from Storm.
Morokoie uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Storm.

Storm fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Morokoie to the ground. Storm is now in Morokoie's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Morokoie is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Morokoie not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Morokoie throws a nice looking combination but Storm bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Morokoie tries a head kick but it misses.
Morokoie tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Morokoie lands a really nice looking cross but Storm seems unphased.
Morokoie fails to land with a series of punches.
Storm is looking to clinch but Morokoie is avoiding it.

Storm closes the distance and pushes Morokoie back into the cage.

Storm has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Morokoie uses from the top position.
We've been informed that Morokoie has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Storm is pulling down on Morokoie's head to control his posture.
Storm is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Storm cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!


Morokoie pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Morokoie leaves Storm with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Morokoie tries to clinch there but Storm circles away.
Storm dives in for a single leg takedown but Morokoie sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Storm is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mason Storm. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Storm pulls guard.
Storm lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Morokoie!

Storm goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Morokoie is on top in guard.

Storm manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Morokoie manages to get himself to full guard.
Mason Storm overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Storm misses with the ground and pound.
You can see the frustration on Morokoie's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
