Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jean Caisse!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jefferey Gump!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Gregory Folan and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Caisse takes one to the chin there.
Caisse fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Caisse tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Gump connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Jean Caisse seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Caisse pushes Gump up against the cage in a clinch.
Stalling in the clinch from Gump.
Caisse misses with a punch to the body.
Caisse drops down looking for an ankle pick but Gump pulls his leg out and moves away.
Caisse has his takedown stuffed
and Gump counters with an outside leg kick.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jean Caisse. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Caisse needs to keep his hands up - Gump had a free shot at his head there.
Gump misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Caisse rushes Gump and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Caisse is looking to take this one to the mat.
Caisse's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Gump is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Caisse has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Gump after a bit of a struggle.
Caisse throws a head punch that misses.
Caisse is trying to break free.
Gump is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Gump is defending well against a takedown attempt.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Gump has Caisse pushed against the cage.
Caisse can't break the clinch.

Caisse has clasped his hands together around Gump's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Gump struggling a bit here.
Caisse with the ground and pound but Gump regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
Gump is doing well to control the position and prevent Caisse from advancing to side control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Caisse is looking for a kimura here.
Gump holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Gump won't allow Caisse to pass to mount.

Caisse wants to work for an arm triangle but Gump is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Caisse with the ground and pound but Gump uses the opportunity to regain guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Gump pulls Caisse in close to his closed guard and prevents Caisse from doing any damage or advancing position.
Caisse throws an elbow that misses. Gump uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Caisse's guard. Nice move by Gump!

Gump is stalling in the full guard.
Gump would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Gump controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jefferey Gump dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Caisse fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Caisse shoots for a double leg takedown but Gump sprawls well. He's pushed Caisse's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Caisse looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Caisse walks into a straight right hand from Gump.
Caisse tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Gump paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Caisse shoots in for a double leg but Gump sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jean Caisse. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Caisse darts in looking for a takedown but Gump gets double underhooks and turns Caisse into the cage.
Caisse trying to stall but Gump improves his position.
Caisse is looking for a takedown.
Caisse throws an elbow that misses.
Caisse tries to pull guard but Gump won't allow it.
Gump tries to work over Caisse's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Caisse drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Gump gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Gump blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Caisse is trying to drag Gump to the mat but Gump just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Caisse letting Gump take a breather here.
Caisse tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Gump's elbow.
Caisse can't find room to land a body shot as Gump controls the action.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Caisse.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Caisse drops down looking for an ankle pick but Gump pulls his leg out and moves away.
Caisse doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Gump cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Caisse wants to clinch.
Caisse tries to clinch
and Gump cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Caisse is trying hard to land a takedown here. Gump sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Gump cracks Caisse with an open hand slap.
Jefferey Gump is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Caisse drops his hands momentarily and Gump takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Caisse shoots for a takedown but Gump saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Caisse takes one on the button.
Jefferey Gump seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Gump drops Caisse with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Caisse looks back up at him and smiles so Gump waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.


Caisse is rocked!
Gump connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Caisse to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Gump!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Jefferey Gump!
