Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between John Leblanc (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brandon Joaquin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Santiago Holmes and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Joaquin slips a straight right by Leblanc.
Joaquin throws a series of punches but Leblanc avoids them all with ease.
Joaquin misses with a series of wild punches.
Joaquin misses with a few strikes there.
Joaquin tries to bum rush Leblanc with a series of wild strikes but Leblanc uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Joaquin throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Joaquin staying out of range there.
Joaquin misses with a jab, cross combination.
Joaquin slips a jab from Leblanc.
Joaquin misses with a few strikes there.
Leblanc throws a looping overhand right but Joaquin ducks down to avoid it.
Joaquin tries to bum rush Leblanc with a series of wild strikes but Leblanc uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

We've been hearing reports that Leblanc has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Joaquin throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Leblanc.

Joaquin throws a nice looking combination but Leblanc bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

It looks like Brandon Joaquin has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Leblanc stands and steps away. Joaquin gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Leblanc slips a jab and a cross from Joaquin.
Joaquin fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Leblanc cracks Joaquin with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Joaquin tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Leblanc pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Joaquin is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John Leblanc!
John Leblanc bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
