Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andrei Sergienko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stanimir Kurdov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sergienko comes to the cage accompanied by Bad Reputation. Andrei Sergienko has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andrei Sergienko! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Stanimir Kurdov! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Alan Glass and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kurdov blocks a head kick by Sergienko.
Sergienko throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Sergienko tries to clinch but Kurdov moves out of range. Sergienko will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. A head kick misses from Sergienko. Sergienko tries to close the distance and clinch but Kurdov swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Sergienko shoots in looking for a takedown but Kurdov manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Sergienko's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Andrei Sergienko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kurdov takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Kurdov shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sergienko throws a shot to the body.
The fight stays on the outside here - Sergienko looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Sergienko tries to clinch up and Kurdov counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Kurdov tries to pass to full mount but Sergienko defends it. Sergienko is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at LOD: GRITTY'S ELITE KILLAS , so we'll see if he gets out of it. Sergienko slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Kurdov trying to control but Sergienko is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sergienko has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Sergienko might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Sergienko keeping moving, preventing Kurdov from controlling successfully. Kurdov has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Skylab Vegas. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. Kurdov missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sergienko wants to improve his position but instead Kurdov has moved into half guard.
Kurdov slips a nice elbow through Sergienko's hands, connecting with Sergienko's forehead. Kurdov throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Sergienko is looking for a sweep. Kurdov is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Sergienko won't allow Kurdov to pass to mount. Kurdov is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Sergienko is staying active underneath Kurdov, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sergienko blocking the ground and pound attempt from Kurdov. Sergienko trying to control but Kurdov postures up.

Sergienko is trying to maintain the position but Kurdov is very close to passing his half guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Sergienko throws a sloppy head kick and Kurdov moves out of range easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Andrei Sergienko will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Sergienko moves in looking to clinch but Kurdov pushes him off. Kurdov on the wrong end of a nice jab. Sergienko scores with a crisp jab that stopped Kurdov in his tracks. Sergienko misses with an uppercut. Sergienko attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Sergienko misses with a lunging right hand
and Kurdov counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Kurdov throws a strike but Sergienko rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Sergienko wants to control from the top but Kurdov keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sergienko stands up over Kurdov, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Sergienko trying to control but Kurdov is working from the bottom. Sergienko content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Kurdov keeping moving, preventing Sergienko from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sergienko throws an elbow that misses. Kurdov uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Sergienko's guard. Nice move by Kurdov! Kurdov throws a big elbow that misses. Kurdov throws a big right hand that misses. Kurdov seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Kurdov trying to control the position from guard on top but Sergienko is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Sergienko wants to sweep here but Kurdov controlling him for the moment. Kurdov must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Sergienko looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Stanimir Kurdov hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Sergienko misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kurdov.
Sergienko fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Sergienko shoots in looking for a takedown. Kurdov tries to sprawl out of it but Sergienko keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kurdov manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kurdov moves out of range as Sergienko strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Andrei Sergienko dominated that second round. That's time! Sergienko's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Sergienko fails with a takedown attempt. Kurdov looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Stanimir Kurdov is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Sergienko misses with a body shot.

Sergienko closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Sergienko fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Sergienko gets control of Kurdov's arms and successfully pulls guard. Sergienko will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Kurdov postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kurdov is looking to work some ground and pound but Sergienko has wrist control. Sergienko trying to keep a closed guard but Kurdov is proving a slippery customer.
Kurdov slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Kurdov wants to control from the top but Sergienko keeps moving.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Sergienko looks to score with a jab to the body but Kurdov is just out of range. Sergienko shoots in for a double leg but Kurdov sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Sergienko fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Kurdov checks it well. Sergienko throws a head kick that misses. Kurdov defending well as Sergienko loads up on a big left hand. Sergienko misses with an uppercut. Kurdov saw that one coming.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Sergienko. Sergienko misses with a leg kick and Kurdov counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Kurdov. Kurdov throws an elbow that misses. Sergienko uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Kurdov's guard. Nice move by Sergienko! Kurdov utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Stanimir Kurdov has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Andrei Sergienko is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Kurdov is trying to control the position from the bottom.

And that's the end of the fight! Andrei Sergienko showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Sergienko, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
