Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tomasz Spreniak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Mir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mir has chosen Kanye West - Amazing ft. Young Jeezy as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tomasz Spreniak! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank Mir! The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mir tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Spreniak swivels and escapes. Spreniak wants to clinch. Mir closes the distance and clinches up with Spreniak, looking for a takedown. Mir pushes Spreniak against the cage but Spreniak circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Mir circles away from the clinch attempt.
Frank Mir seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mir shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Tomasz Spreniak has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Mir. Mir darts in looking for a takedown but Spreniak gets double underhooks and turns Mir into the cage. Spreniak unloads a knee to the mid-section. Mir looks winded! Spreniak landing knees to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Spreniak with a knee to the head.

Spreniak gets through Mir's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Spreniak pulls Mir into guard.
Spreniak wriggles free and stands up. Spreniak is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

This has been an exciting period of action! A short right from Spreniak. Spreniak successfully pulls guard.
Spreniak has his feet on Mir's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Spreniak doesn't manage to clinch there - Mir circles away.
Spreniak tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mir sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Spreniak somewhat. Mir swats away the attempt to clinch by Spreniak.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mir throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Spreniak wants to clinch up but Mir keeps it at a distance. Spreniak stuffs the takedown. Spreniak fails with an attempt to clinch.
Mir tries to close the distance and clinch but Spreniak swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Mir chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Spreniak can pounce on him.

Spreniak lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Mir being controlled against the cage. Mir is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Spreniak to keep the fight standing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mir can't break the clinch.

Mir wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Spreniak has him pressed against the cage. Spreniak lands a nice uppercut. Spreniak connects with a knee to the head.
It looks like Frank Mir has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Spreniak lands a damaging elbow. Spreniak tries for a takedown. No joy.
Mir is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Mir decides to pull guard. Spreniak controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Spreniak will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Spreniak has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Tomasz Spreniak. Spreniak keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Spreniak is defended easily by Mir. Tomasz Spreniak is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Spreniak has taken the fight to the clinch.

Mir jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Spreniak walks away with a smile on his face. Mir gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Tomasz Spreniak has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Mir. Mir rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Spreniak moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Mir throws a nice looking combination but Spreniak bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Spreniak clinches up with Mir and pushes him back against the cage. Mir blocks an uppercut.

That's one minute gone in the round. Mir wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Spreniak has him pressed against the cage. Spreniak gets control of Mir's arms and successfully pulls guard. Spreniak will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Spreniak is looking to stand up but Mir isn't so interested in that idea. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Spreniak avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Mir loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Spreniak is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Spreniak utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Mir scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Spreniak avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Mir wants to pass the guard but Spreniak is keeping the position. Mir has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mir throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mir postures up and lands a big shot to Spreniak's brow. Mir throws an elbow that misses. Spreniak uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Mir's guard. Nice move by Spreniak! Mir has his feet on Spreniak's thighs here. He's pushed Spreniak off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Spreniak screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
