Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Demian Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Frost (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jeff Frost is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Daniel Franklin and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frost shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Frost wanted to stand there but Silva had control of the position.
Frost controls from within his opponent's guard.
Silva kicks Frost off and gets to his feet.
Silva shoots in looking for a takedown. Frost tries to sprawl out of it but Silva keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Frost manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Frost has closed the distance and engaged Silva in a clinch.

and Frost makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Nice takedown defense from Silva. No joy for Frost on that attempt.
Frost steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Silva.
Silva feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Frost throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Silva stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Frost tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Silva manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Frost feints and as Silva raises his hands in defense, Frost changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Frost looking to sit in guard and control but Silva gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Frost can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Silva controls the pace.

Frost wants to sweep but no luck.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

That was a close round but I would say that Demian Silva will probably get the nod.

Frost really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Silva. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Silva manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Frost manages to get himself to full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Silva decides to stand up.
Silva throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Frost.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Silva tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Frost paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Silva shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Frost but Frost pushes him off and we're back to square one.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Frost dives in for a single leg takedown but Silva sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Silva wants to take the fight to the mat but Frost manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Silva tries to improve position but can't.
Frost happy to just control the position for now.
Silva is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Frost off and has taken his back!

Frost takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
What can Frost do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Silva is cranking Frost's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Frost! He's tightened the choke and Frost is tapping out!
