Paaine comes to the cage accompanied by F*ck Authority-Pennywise. Majors Paaine has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Roger Baumgartner! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Richard Clark and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Baumgartner scores with a nice right hand.
We've been told by Paaine's head coaches at ~T~ Troid - Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Baumgartner connects with a looping right hand.
Baumgartner connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Paaine's hands. Baumgartner connects with a solid leg kick. Baumgartner misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Paaine.
No joy there for Baumgartner, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Baumgartner shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Baumgartner was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Baumgartner is not content to let Paaine control the position. Paaine wants to control for a moment but Baumgartner uses the opportunity to move back to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Baumgartner is trying to get back to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Paaine passes to side control. Baumgartner is looking to regain half guard here but Paaine keeps moving and retains side control. Paaine wants to lay and pray for a moment but Baumgartner keeps working. Paaine scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Baumgartner to see if he's OK. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Paaine's guard. Baumgartner stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Paaine swivels though and keeps the full guard. Paaine keeping moving, preventing Baumgartner from controlling successfully. Paaine utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Roger Baumgartner wasn't active enough on the ground. Baumgartner tries to land a front kick but Paaine steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. A momentary lapse in concentration from Paaine enables Baumgartner to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Paaine manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Baumgartner is stalling in the full guard.

Baumgartner is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Paaine is just riding it out for now. Baumgartner eventually gives up the hold. Baumgartner passes the guard and advances to mount! Roger Baumgartner is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Paaine slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Paaine wants to get back to full guard. Baumgartner tries to pass to full mount but Paaine defends it. Majors Paaine has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

And that's the end of the fight! Roger Baumgartner comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Baumgartner has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
