Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rowdy Nickoson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ray Oliver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Oliver has chosen Enter Sandman-Metallica as his entrance music. The key to victory for Rowdy Nickoson has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rowdy Nickoson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ray Oliver! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Yves DeLean and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jab, jab by Nickoson - just one landing. Oliver tries for a takedown but Nickoson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Nickoson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Nickoson wants it to stay on the feet. Oliver tries for a takedown but Nickoson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Rowdy Nickoson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ray Oliver. The fight stays on the outside here - Nickoson looks like he's thinking about clinching though. A left and a right from Nickoson both land. Nice combination. Nickoson misses with a double jab.
Oliver shoots for a double leg takedown but Nickoson sprawls well. He's pushed Oliver's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Nickoson lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Nice uppercut there from Nickoson. Danga de danga de dang - Nickoson scores with a four punch combination! Oliver misses with a shot to the body and Nickoson counters with a straight right hand. Nickoson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Nickoson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Oliver closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Oliver lands in his opponent's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Oliver throws a big elbow that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Oliver throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Nickoson works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Nickoson keeping full guard, as Oliver tries to pass. Nickoson looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Nickoson trying to keep a closed guard but Oliver is proving a slippery customer.
Oliver drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Nickoson dives on top into guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Oliver keeping moving, preventing Nickoson from controlling successfully. Nickoson working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Nickoson looking to pass the guard. Nickoson slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Oliver looking for a sweep. Not yet Oliver, not yet. Nickoson seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Rowdy Nickoson just wasn't active enough. Oliver fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Nickoson to the ground. Oliver is now in Nickoson's guard. Nickoson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Oliver stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Nickoson swivels though and keeps the full guard. Oliver landing with the ground and pound. Nickoson working a defensive guard here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Nickoson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Oliver drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Nickoson dives on top into guard. Nickoson won't allow Oliver to sweep him here. Nickoson stays in close to Oliver's body and controls the position. Oliver bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Nickoson's guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Oliver pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Nickoson is keeping the position for now. Oliver throwing strikes from guard but Nickoson blocks nicely. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rowdy Nickoson dominated that round. That's time! Nickoson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Nickoson fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Nickoson throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Nickoson looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Nickoson fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Oliver moves into the clinch successfully.
Oliver blocks an uppercut.
Oliver is trying to pull guard but Nickoson turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Oliver has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Nickoson is trying to keep an underhook but Oliver manages to get the takedown into half guard. Oliver is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Oliver is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Nickoson doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Oliver.
That's one minute gone in the round. Oliver wants to pass to mount but Nickoson is defending the position. Nickoson trying to hold on to Oliver's head to control him but Oliver postures up.
Nickoson tries to roll over but Oliver keeps him under control. Oliver is trying to work for a kimura but Nickoson is defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nickoson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Ray Oliver has got the better of the ground game so far. Oliver is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Nickoson doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Oliver. Nickoson is trying to control but can't.

Oliver tries to free his leg and advance position but Nickoson is retaining full guard. Nickoson has his foot on Oliver's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Oliver works his way back into a safe position though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Oliver is fighting to break Nickoson's control of his arms but Nickoson is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Nickoson tries to land a sweep but no joy. Oliver drops back, looking for a kneebar! Nickoson looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Nickoson looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Nickoson! We've been informed that Oliver has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Oliver tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Oliver regains half guard. Nickoson is just content to waste time from the top position. Oliver takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Oliver throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Nickoson postures up.

Ray Oliver showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Nickoson tries to close the distance and clinch but Oliver swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Oliver looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Nickoson has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Nickoson there as he acknowledges the shot. Nickoson tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Oliver defends well and Nickoson ends up having to push Oliver into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Oliver goes for a takedown attempt but Nickoson pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Oliver fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Nickoson closes the distance looking to clinch and Oliver counters with a lovely shot to the body. Oliver is trying hard to land a takedown here. Nickoson sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Rowdy Nickoson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ray Oliver. Oliver misses with a takedown attempt - Nickoson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Oliver tries for a takedown but Nickoson circles away easily and Nickoson counters with a straight right hand. Oliver takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nickoson digs a good body shot into Oliver's ribs. Ray Oliver seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nickoson is trying hard to land a takedown here. Oliver sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Nickoson lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Nickoson. Oliver swats away the attempt to clinch by Nickoson. Oliver shoots in for a takedown but Nickoson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. A punch lands to the side of Oliver 's head but he takes it in his stride. Nickoson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Oliver avoids it really well and circles away. Nickoson lands a slapping body shot.
Nickoson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Oliver, pushing him back against the cage. Oliver has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Nickoson after a bit of a struggle.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nickoson throws a head punch that misses. Oliver tries to pull guard but Nickoson forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Oliver has hold of one of Nickoson's legs. Nickoson is fighting the takedown attempt but Oliver gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Nickoson controlling Oliver's posture. Oliver trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Nickoson preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Oliver drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Nickoson manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Oliver has Nickoson in his guard. Nickoson wants to control from the top but Oliver keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Oliver is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Nickoson defends well. Oliver trying to control the position here. Oliver wants to get back to his feet but Nickoson is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Nickoson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Oliver has momentary wrist control but Nickoson slips an elbow through the middle. Nickoson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Nickoson is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Nickoson won't allow Oliver to sweep him here. Oliver is trying to control the position but Nickoson postures up. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Oliver is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Oliver keeps trying to improve his position.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Rowdy Nickoson. I think Nickoson has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
