Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Victor Resnov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexei Erschov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Victor Resnov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alexei Erschov! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, William Peck and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No joy there for Resnov, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Erschov throws a sloppy head kick and Resnov moves out of range easily. Erschov looks to clinch and Resnov counters with a two punch combo. A head kick misses from Erschov. Erschov wants to clinch up but Resnov keeps it at a distance. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Resnov slaps away a takedown attempt from Erschov, before circling back to the center of the mat. Erschov gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Resnov holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Erschov is looking to break free of the clinch but Resnov has double underhooks. Erschov on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Erschov should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Erschov breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Erschov looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Victor Resnov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alexei Erschov. Erschov shoots for a takedown but Resnov saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Erschov goes for a double leg but Resnov avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Resnov continues to drive forward. Erschov wants to break the clinch but can't.
Erschov jumps guard but Resnov turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Resnov escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A left and a right from Resnov both land. Nice combination.
That's one minute gone in the round. Erschov darts in looking for a takedown but Resnov gets double underhooks and turns Erschov into the cage. Erschov looks winded! Resnov escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Nice uppercut lands for Resnov. That snapped Erschov's head back.
Erschov throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Resnov's waist but Resnov gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Erschov off to one side. Resnov lands a big right hand that sends Erschov crashing to the mat! Resnov stays standing though and waves Erschov back to his feet!
Erschov is rocked! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Erschov shoots in but no luck this time. Resnov closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Erschov's guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Resnov pushing down on Erschov's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Resnov prevents Erschov from improving his position. Resnov takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Erschov works his way to full guard. Good work. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Resnov accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Resnov is working Erschov over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Resnov chips away with some ground and pound. Resnov working some strikes from top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Erschov wants to stand but Resnov is controlling the position. Resnov has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Erschov has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Resnov can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Erschov looking for a sweep. Not yet Erschov, not yet. Erschov had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Resnov defends it easily. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Resnov's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Resnov passes into half guard. Erschov wants to improve his position but Resnov is controlling well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Resnov sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Erschov defending well though. Resnov prevents Erschov from standing back up.

Erschov looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Resnov seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Erschov regains full guard. Nicely done. Resnov working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Erschov not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Resnov manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Resnov postures up and lands a big shot to Erschov's brow.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Resnov lands a couple of digs. Erschov is looking to cinch up a triangle. Resnov throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Erschov's body to avoid the submission. Erschov has instead reached around Resnov's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Erschov arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
