Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Michal Materla (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jam Slinger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Materla's entrance music is Sobota - Do góry łeb. A fine choice. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Michal Materla!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jam Slinger!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Materla gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Slinger counters with a two punch combo.
Michal Materla seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Materla shoots in looking for a takedown. Slinger tries to sprawl out of it but Materla keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Slinger manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Materla throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Slinger's waist but Slinger gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Materla off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michal Materla. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Slinger closes the distance and pushes Materla back into the cage.
Materla is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Slinger pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Materla breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Materla changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Slinger tries to avoid it but Materla manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Slinger to the ground. Slinger escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Slinger shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Materla tries for a takedown but Slinger circles away easily
and Slinger counters with a one-two to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Slinger stuffs the takedown.
Materla is breathing heavily.

Materla with a lazy takedown attempt
and Slinger counters with a shoot takedown. Materla fights it but they end up in guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Slinger tries to free his leg and advance position but Materla is retaining full guard.
Materla looking to hit a scissor sweep but Slinger is one step ahead there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Slinger landing with the ground and pound.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Slinger's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Slinger postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Slinger content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Slinger must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Slinger postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Slinger is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Slinger's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Slinger postures up in Materla's guard and throws a big left but Materla blocks it.
Slinger really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Materla. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Slinger with a nice head shot there.
Slinger working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Materla's head.
Slinger pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Materla is keeping the position for now.
Materla is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Slinger is aware though and is defending well.
Materla wants to stand but Slinger is controlling the position.
Slinger with a nice head shot there.
Slinger wanted to stand there but Materla had control of the position.
Slinger missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Slinger cracks Materla with a solid left hand.
Slinger would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Materla looking to hit a scissor sweep but Slinger is one step ahead there.

Slinger postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Slinger connects with a couple of short punches.
Slinger throws a sloppy strike and Materla has hooked up an armbar on the loose arm! He's turned and extended fully! Slinger is forced to tap! Great BJJ from Materla!
