Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, db King! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Paul Van Godart! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Sam Margolis and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Van Godart throws an off balance right hand
and King counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Van Godart takes a body punch but keeps moving. Van Godart feints a jab promting King to slip. Van Godart then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. King slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. King showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Van Godart.

Van Godart throws a combination but it was largely blocked by King. King looking to score a takedown here. Van Godart is defending well but King drives through and ends up in Van Godart's guard. King trying to control but Van Godart is working from the bottom. King with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Van Godart looking for a sweep. Not yet Van Godart, not yet. Van Godart bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in King's guard. King trying to keep a closed guard but Van Godart is proving a slippery customer.

Van Godart is looking to take a break and control but King is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. King is trying to stand up here but Van Godart is controlling him well. Van Godart controlling the action here. Van Godart is trying to control. King wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Paul Van Godart. Van Godart misses with a hook. King ducked under it nicely. Van Godart misses with a jab, cross combination.
King dives in and scores a takedown into Van Godart's guard. Van Godart is trying to control the position but King postures up. Van Godart has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think King should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Van Godart has tightened it up now! King should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
