The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Floyd falls off balance throwing a combination
and Stewart counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Stewart .
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Stewart throws a big right hand that misses.
Stewart content to stall in guard here.
Stewart has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Floyd is working an open guard so Stewart takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Stewart won't allow Floyd to get back to his feet.

Stewart not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Let's hope that Stewart has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Martin Stewart hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Stewart throws a chopping leg kick but Floyd manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Oh Floyd is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Stewart shoots in for a takedown. Oh, that's a huge slam! Floyd is on queer street and Stewart is pounding down on him with a barage of strikes. The ref is forced to step in and stop the fight. Great finish!
