Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Roll (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Darth Nurple (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roll comes into the arena with Limp Bizkit - Rollin' blaring out of the sound system. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roll looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Roll shoots for a double leg takedown but Nurple sprawls well. He's pushed Roll's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Roll. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Roll has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Nurple is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Nurple tries to clinch up.
Nurple drives through with a takedown into guard.
Nurple wants to control from the top but Roll keeps moving.
Roll has his foot on Nurple's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Nurple works his way back into a safe position though.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Roll is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Roll isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Nurple stacks Roll on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Nurple!

Nurple controlling the pace for now.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Let's hope that Nurple has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Nurple won't let Roll get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

Despite being in the dominant position, Darth Nurple just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Nurple scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Roll doesn't seem bothered though.

Mike Roll seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nurple dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Roll. That did some damage!

Roll escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Nurple gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Darth Nurple comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Nurple has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
