Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wayne Gill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patrick O Malley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
O Malley throws a body kick that misses.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Gill.
Gill ducks under a wild hook from O Malley.
Gill throws a nice looking combination but O Malley bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Gill gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
O Malley tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
O Malley blocks an uppercut.
O Malley manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
O Malley lands with a short punch from the clinch.

Gill tries to score a body lock takedown but O Malley shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Gill has O Malley pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. O Malley manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, O Malley creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Patrick O Malley.
O Malley throws a series of punches but Gill avoids them all with ease.
O Malley connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Gill! He's out on his feet! O Malley rushes in and drops Gill with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
