Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Nard Betker and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kahn has managed to clinch.
Kahn decides to pull guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Kahn has control of Stanton's left arm, preventing Stanton from doing any damage.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kahn can do anything to dispel that myth.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Kahn throws a body kick that misses.
Kahunia Kahn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kahn closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Stanton to the mat! Stanton manages to get full guard.
Kahn avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Kahn not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kahn drops back looking for a leg! Stanton is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Stanton manages to kick Kahn off! Kahn jumps back into Stanton's guard.
Kahn prevents Stanton from getting back to his feet.
Kahn wants to stand but Stanton is controlling his posture from full guard.
Kahn is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Stanton will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Stanton has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kahn can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Kahn throws a big elbow that misses.
Kahn would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Stanton is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Kahn is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Stanton tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Let's hope that Kahn has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Kahunia Kahn wasn't active enough on the ground.
Kahn looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Stanton!
Stanton manages to work his way to half guard, despite Kahn's best efforts.
Stanton has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kahn is working away from the top position though.
Stanton tries to roll over but Kahn keeps him under control.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Kahn working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Stanton's thigh. Stanton counters though and makes it back to full guard.
Kahn seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Kahn is working Stanton over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Kahn is looking to stand up but Stanton won't let him.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Stanton is trying to hold Kahn in close to prevent damage but Kahn has managed to pass into half guard.

Kahn tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Kahunia Kahn is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Stanton tries to sprawl but Kahn drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Kahn works his foot free and advances to mount.
Kahn fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Stanton is in all sorts of trouble here.

Stanton is squirming around, avoiding Kahn's attempts to control the action.

Stanton is rocked!
Kahn wants to get back to his feet but Stanton is holding on tight.
Oh Stanton is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kahn lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Stanton's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kahn controlling the pace for now.
Stanton tries to lock up and control but Kahn gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Kahn stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
Kahn shoots in for a takedown. SLAM! Brutal! Stanton is out cold and this one is all over!
