Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Garrett Huff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wyatt Walton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wyatt Walton will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Garrett Huff! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Wyatt Walton! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Huff circles away from the clinch attempt and Huff counters by moving into the clinch. Walton has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Huff uses from the top position. Huff decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Walton darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Huff controlling the leg, holding on to half guard. Huff looks like he's trying to stand up.

That's one minute gone in the round. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Huff really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Garrett Huff just wasn't active enough. Walton shoots in and bounces Huff off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Huff seems keen to control Walton's posture. Walton must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's two minutes gone in the round. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Huff escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Walton gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Huff trying to control the position here. Walton prevents Huff from getting back to his feet.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Garrett Huff. Walton manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Huff on his heels. He'll look to pass Huff's guard now, I'm sure. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Huff working for a triangle but Walton defends it easily.
Huff is pulling down on Walton's head to control his posture. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Huff will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Walton trying to control but Huff is working from the bottom. Huff pulls Walton in to control the position.
We're going to have a standup here because Garrett Huff wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Nice takedown defense from Walton. No joy for Huff on that attempt. Huff looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Walton scores with a takedown into Huff's guard. Huff is breathing heavily. Huff is adopting a defensive guard. Walton wants to control from the top but Huff keeps moving. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Huff will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Walton gets caught napping as Huff dives in and scores a takedown. Walton manages to retain guard. Walton looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Garrett Huff overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Walton trying to control the position.
Huff stands up from Walton's guard - Huff perhaps looking for a knockout. Walton wants to clinch up but Huff keeps it at a distance. Walton throws a combination that misses and Huff counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Huff.
That's one minute gone in the round. Huff postures up and lands a big shot to Walton's brow. Huff stands up from guard. Let's bang! Walton closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Huff quickly recovers to half guard. Walton is breathing heavily. Huff is controlling Walton's trapped leg to prevent Walton from advancing to side control. Huff has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Huff tries to get to full guard but Walton has control of the leg. Huff is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Huff wants to get back to full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Garrett Huff wasn't doing enough on the ground. Walton misses with a body kick. Huff pushes Walton up against the cage in a clinch. Both fighters working to control the clinch. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Huff escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Huff shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Huff escapes and gets back to his feet. Wyatt Walton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Walton shoots in and bounces Huff off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Huff has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Walton off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Huff shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Walton manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Huff not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Huff drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Huff jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Huff gets to his feet - Walton follows without any prompting. Huff shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Walton is trying to defend but Huff finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Huff is figuring out what he wants to do next. Huff decides to stand up. Huff shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Walton looking for subs off his back but Huff has passed one foot through into half guard.

Garrett Huff dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Huff throws a right and a left that both miss. Huff avoids a low kick by using good footwork. A momentary lapse in concentration from Walton enables Huff to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Walton manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Walton working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Huff. Huff cracks Walton with a solid left hand. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Huff is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Huff stalling against the cage.

Huff is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

He's managed to get a loose triangle. Walton doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Huff is tightening it up a little... Walton has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Walton reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Walton taps out! Nice BJJ there by Huff!
