Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dirty Randy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Dixon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Randy comes into the arena with Machinehead blaring out of the sound system. Mike Dixon has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mike Dixon!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, George Francis and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dixon throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Randy counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Randy.
Randy has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Randy trying to control the position from guard on top but Dixon is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Dixon escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Randy gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Randy wants to control from the top but Dixon keeps moving.
Dixon has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Randy can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Dixon controls Randy momentarily but Randy frees himself.

Dixon is pulling down on Randy's head. It's preventing any offense from Randy, at least for the moment.
Dixon wants to stand up but Randy is controlling him.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Randy avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Dixon darts in looking for a takedown but Randy gets double underhooks and turns Dixon into the cage.

Randy has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Dixon clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Randy gets his hands free as Dixon looks to control.

Randy is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Dixon has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Randy doesn't have the hooks in and Dixon manages to turn into his guard.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Mike Dixon hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Dixon fails with the takedown
and Randy counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Dixon!
Dixon is trying to improve his position.
Randy wants to control but Dixon is keeping him busy.
Dixon tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.

Dixon tries to lock up and control but Randy gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Dixon bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Randy wants to sweep here but Dixon controlling him for the moment.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Mike Dixon.

and Randy counters with a single leg into guard. Dixon didn't expect that.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dixon shoots for a takedown but Randy saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Dixon shoots in looking for a takedown. Randy tries to sprawl out of it but Dixon keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Randy manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Dirty Randy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Dixon.
Dixon tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Randy paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Dixon closes the distance and pushes Randy back into the cage.
Dixon tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Randy avoids it.
Randy wants to take the fight to the mat but Dixon manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Randy is trying to pull guard but Dixon has him pressed against the cage.
Dixon is trying to drag Randy to the mat but Randy just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Dixon is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Randy gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Dixon takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Dixon tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Randy shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Dixon pinned against the cage. Dixon gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Dixon shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Dixon was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Dixon is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Randy will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Dixon is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Randy knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Mike Dixon comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Dixon has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
