The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Person throws a series of punches but Miyato moves out of range.

Person shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Person shoots in and bounces Miyato off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Person got a little sloppy there for a moment and Miyato has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Person has managed to get both his arms back between Miyato's legs - danger averted.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Very Important Person hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Miyato tries to sprawl but Person drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Miyato moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Person working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Miyato has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Person can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Miyato working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Person doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Person manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Person wants to control from the top but Miyato keeps moving.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Person throws a hook but Miyato avoids it easily.

Person fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Miyato sprawls well initially but Person persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Person is taking a breather. Miyato says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Person might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Miyato haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Person has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Miyato is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Person yanks on the arm and Miyato is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Person.
