Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Diego Coghi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike McKinley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Coghi's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Here comes the boom. McKinley has chosen Swing That Tambourine as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Diego Coghi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mike McKinley! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Matheus Silva and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A punch combination from Coghi misses. McKinley moves into the clinch successfully.
McKinley scores with a shoulder strike. McKinley pulls guard. McKinley looking to hit a scissor sweep but Coghi is one step ahead there. Coghi controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McKinley had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Coghi is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. McKinley Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Coghi's back instead.
That's one minute gone in the round. McKinley biding his time, looking for the opening.
McKinley tries to keep control of the position but Coghi is staying busy. Even with his hooks in, McKinley manages to miss with strikes from the back. Coghi tries to escape the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Coghi is trying to stand back up. McKinley controls the action. McKinley throwing wild punches that miss their target. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McKinley biding his time, looking for the opening.
Coghi is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. McKinley wants to control the position but Coghi frees himself and scrambles - McKinley manages to regain control in side control.
McKinley tries to advance to mount but can't. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! McKinley controlling from side mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mike McKinley dominated that round. That's time! Coghi's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
McKinley scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Coghi is looking for a sweep. Coghi wants to get back to his feet. McKinley working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. McKinley stands up and we're back to a striking position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Coghi looks to land a combination but McKinley avoids it well. McKinley drives through with a takedown into guard. Coghi keeping moving, preventing McKinley from controlling successfully. McKinley wants to pass the guard but Coghi is keeping the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McKinley decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Coghi, up you get! Coghi misses with a jab, cross combination.
Diego Coghi is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Coghi throws a right and a left that both miss. Coghi scores with a one two! McKinley had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
It looks like Mike McKinley has been cut. McKinley shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Coghi is working an open guard so McKinley takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. McKinley scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Coghi is trying to stand.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Coghi is not content to let McKinley control the position. McKinley gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Coghi wants to clinch and McKinley counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by McKinley. Coghi working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from McKinley. McKinley stands up from guard. Let's bang!
That's four minutes gone in the round. McKinley gets a takedown into half guard. McKinley wants to stand but his hand is trapped. Coghi uses the opportunity to regain full guard. McKinley is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Coghi is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Coghi has escaped and now he's on top! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. McKinley working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Coghi has passed into half guard!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mike McKinley showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Mike McKinley's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Coghi lands a lovely overhand right. McKinley scores a takedown into full mount! McKinley can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Coghi is looking to escape. Coghi holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as McKinley tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. McKinley throwing strikes here but Coghi is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
McKinley controlling his opponent. McKinley's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. McKinley can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Coghi is looking to escape. Coghi is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

McKinley trying to control but he's not successful this time. McKinley get's back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Coghi with a lazy takedown attempt and McKinley counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. McKinley showing good wrestling skills to control the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Coghi controls McKinley momentarily but McKinley frees himself. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. McKinley trying to control the position from guard on top but Coghi is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
And that's the end of the fight! Mike McKinley comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got McKinley winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
