The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Denmark fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Thompson throws an overhand right that lands on Denmark's shoulder, as Denmark tries to avoid the shot.
Denmark fails with a takedown attempt.
Thomas Denmark seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Denmark rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Thompson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Thompson bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Denmark's head backwards.
It looks like Thomas Denmark has been cut.
Thompson throws a jab when Denmark was well out of range.
Denmark looks for a takedown but Thompson sprawls well.

Thompson cracks Denmark with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Thompson has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Denmark to stand back up!

Denmark tries to close the distance and clinch but Thompson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Thompson misses with a head kick.
Thompson throws a head kick but Denmark moves out of range.
Thompson loads up on a big right hand but Denmark slips the punch.
Thompson tries a head kick but it misses.
Thompson lands a head kick that stumbles Denmark and the fighters go to the mat.
Oh Denmark is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Denmark looking for a sweep. Not yet Denmark, not yet.
Denmark seems to have got his legs back now.
Denmark keeping busy on the bottom but Thompson has passed one foot through into half guard.
Thompson slows the pace down in half guard.
Thompson stands up out of the half guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Thompson misses with a straight right.
Denmark tries to close the distance and clinch up but Thompson swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Thompson looks to land a left hand but Denmark moved out of range nicely.
Denmark keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Thompson drops Denmark with a beautiful combination! Denmark stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Thompson is looking for the KO!

The fighters circling - Thompson throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Thompson throws a head kick that misses.
Denmark ducks straight into an uppercut from Thompson and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Denmark maanges to regain guard straight away.
Thomas Denmark's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Denmark isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Thompson stacks Denmark on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Thompson!
Thompson decides to stand up, so the ref orders Denmark to his feet.

Thompson misses with a looping left.
Thompson keeps the fight on the outside.
Denmark walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Jeez, Thomas Denmark's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
Thompson seems to be stalking Denmark here. He circles momentarily and then unleashes a devastatic head kick! Denmark drops like a stone, out cold! WOW! Are you kidding me!? What a knockout!
