Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Waylon Wade (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kai Adams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Waylon Wade! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kai Adams! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Skip Squint and Topper Green.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Adams gets the takedown into side control. Adams scoring with punches and elbows. Adams working the head and body with strikes. Adams controls the position. Wade is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Adams's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Adams is keen to just control but Wade is a slippery customer. Wade wants to get back to his feet. Adams prevents Wade from improving his position. Adams looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Adams is still trying to improve position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wade is staying active underneath Adams, who seems content to just control the action from this position. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Wade kicks Adams off and gets back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Adams closes the distance and pushes Wade back into the cage. Adams tries to land knees in the clinch but Wade avoids the damage to the body. Wade gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Wade looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Adams breaks the clinch.
Wade tries to close the distance and clinch up but Adams swats him away and circles back towards the center. A head kick misses from Wade. Wade gets tackled into the cage by Adams. Adams maintains the clinch. Adams on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Adams has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Adams tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Wade avoids it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wade has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Adams clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Adams is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Wade is persistently looking for the submission but Adams is defending it well.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Adams just trying to survive but Wade is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. Adams is really stuck here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Adams trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Wade trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.
Wade misses with punches from the back. Wade lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Adams hold on?!
Adams rolls, trying to escape but Wade keeps control of the position.
Adams covers up after that shot from Wade.
Adams is trying to get back to his feet but Wade has full control of the position and if anything, Adams has just worked his way into a worse spot. Adams turns into Wade and is now in his guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wade wants to stand but Adams is controlling the position. Wade throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Wade wants to get back to his feet but Adams is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Wade is breathing heavily. Adams passes Wade's left leg - he's now in half guard. Wade really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Adams working over Wade with some ground and pound. Wade looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Adams is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Wade keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Wade is trying to stand up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Kai Adams will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Adams drives through with a takedown into guard. Wade controls Adams momentarily but Adams frees himself. Adams wants to control from the top but Wade keeps moving. Adams preventing the sweep. Wade has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Adams has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage. Wade is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Adams to keep the fight standing. Wade has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Adams is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Wade throws an elbow but it misses.
Adams looking to slow down the pace here. Adams just leaning against Wade, taking a breather.
That's one minute gone in the round. Adams works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Wade is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Wade keeping full guard, as Adams tries to pass. Kai Adams has got the better of the ground game so far. Wade wants to get back to his feet but Adams is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Adams gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Adams has managed to clinch.
Adams jumps guard.
Wade will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Adams pulls Wade in close to his closed guard and prevents Wade from doing any damage or advancing position. Adams controls Wade momentarily but Wade frees himself. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Adams tries to strike from the bottom.
Adams pushes Wade off and gets back to his feet.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Adams looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wade wants to get back to his feet.
Adams is looking for a kimura but Wade is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Adams to get the leverage. Wade pushes Adams off but Adams dives into side control.
Adams stands up. Wade darts in trying to clinch and Adams counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Adams is figuring out what he wants to do next.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wade on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! It looks like Adams is going to stand back up.
Wade wants to get back to his feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Wade flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Adams is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Adams is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Wade has managed to free his arm - good work. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kai Adams showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Adams passes into half guard under a barage of strikes. Adams working the head and body with strikes. Adams keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Wade has one foot on Adams's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Adams moves into range and clinches up with Wade. Adams works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Adams takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wade is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Adams wants to control from the top but Wade keeps moving. Adams gets to his feet. Wade looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! The fight moves into the clinch position. Wade has hold of one of Adams's legs. Adams is fighting the takedown attempt but Wade gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Adams is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Wade defends well. Adams wants to stand but Wade is controlling the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Adams throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Wade escapes and throws Adams's legs to the side, diving into side control! Wade working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Wade tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wade stands up and we're back to a striking position. Adams throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Wade fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Adams throws a right and a left that both miss.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wade tries to clinch but fails miserably and Adams moves into the clinch. Adams turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Adams manages to end up in side control. Wade manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Adams on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Adams wants to get back to his feet.
Adams looking for submissions off his back. Waylon Wade has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Kai Adams is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Wade thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Adams's head.
And that's the end of the fight! Kai Adams comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Adams has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
