The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maczynsky takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Ahokas misses with a hook.
Maczynsky connects with a leg kick. Ahokas looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Maczynsky thuds his shin into the meat of Ahokas's side.
Juha Ahokas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The fighters circling - Ahokas throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Ahokas misses with an uppercut. Maczynsky saw that one coming.
Ahokas slips a jab and a cross from Maczynsky.

Ahokas bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Ahokas creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Maczynsky sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Maczynsky can't do much from the bottom here.
Maczynsky regains half guard, as Ahokas was trying to land strikes.

Maczynsky tries to get to full guard but Ahokas has control of the leg.
Ahokas throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Maczynsky to regain full guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Ahokas changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Maczynsky tries to avoid it but Ahokas manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Maczynsky to the ground. Maczynsky escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Ahokas lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

Ahokas uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Maczynsky.

Maczynsky lands a big head kick that sends Ahokas tumbling to the mat! Maczynsky takes a step backwards and waves Ahokas back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Maczynsky throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

Ahokas is rocked!
Ahokas looks up at the clock. Bad move! Maczynsky lands a right hand from hell, dropping Ahokas. Maczynsky pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
