0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Dave Johns! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Richard Clark and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johns throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Rosales thuds his right hand into Johns's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Johns tries to bum rush Rosales with a series of wild strikes but Rosales uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Rosales really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Johns misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Rosales.
Johns looks to score with a jab to the body but Rosales is just out of range. Rosales throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Johns was covering up waiting for the punch and Rosales finishes the takedown easily into guard. Rosales engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

Rosales seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rosales working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Johns's head. Johns's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Rosales controlling from mount. Rosales lands a big shot there that rocks Johns but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
