Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Alaxander Knight! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Harry Paratesticles! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Winston Alpacca and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Paratesticles clinches. Knight is trying to break the clinch but Paratesticles is controlling him. Paratesticles has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Knight regains guard immediately. Paratesticles is looking to stand up but Knight won't let him. Knight is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Paratesticles throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Paratesticles trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Paratesticles cracks Knight with a solid left hand. Knight is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Paratesticles looking to pass the guard. Paratesticles must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's one minute gone in the round. Paratesticles postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Knight wants to stand up but Paratesticles is controlling him. Paratesticles sitting in guard here, content to control. Knight will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. It looks like Paratesticles might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Harry Paratesticles. Knight takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Paratesticles closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Knight quickly recovers to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Paratesticles wants to stand up but Knight is controlling the position.
Paratesticles is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Paratesticles throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. You get the feeling that Knight really doesn't like being in this position too much.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Paratesticles moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Knight has worked his arm free - good work by Knight!
Knight wants to get back to his feet but Paratesticles drags him back down.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Paratesticles tries to advance to mount but can't. Paratesticles controls the position. Let's hope that Paratesticles has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Paratesticles wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Knight, who protects the arm well. Knight is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Paratesticles has just dragged him back down to the mat.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Paratesticles in side control, just content to control the action for now. Paratesticles trying to control the action but Knight is working from the bottom. Knight is trying to escape and get back to his feet. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Harry Paratesticles dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Paratesticles stuffs the takedown. Knight throws a head kick but Paratesticles moves out of range.
Knight tries for a takedown but Paratesticles circles away easily and Paratesticles counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Paratesticles scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Harry Paratesticles has got the better of the ground game so far. Paratesticles takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Knight is trying to stand back up but Paratesticles is controlling him
Paratesticles wants to free his trapped foot but Knight is holding on for dear life with his legs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Paratesticles slows the pace down in half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Harry Paratesticles has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Paratesticles's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Paratesticles duly obliges. Paratesticles gets a double leg takedown into Knight's guard. Knight wants to stand and escape but Paratesticles is having none of it. Knight can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Paratesticles controls the pace. Knight wants to get back to his feet but Paratesticles is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Paratesticles throwing strikes from guard but Knight blocks nicely. Paratesticles showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Paratesticles prevents Knight from getting back to his feet.
Harry Paratesticles has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Knight tries to sprawl but Paratesticles drives through with a takedown into half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Paratesticles lands strikes from half guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Paratesticles stops Knight from getting back to his feet.
Paratesticles decides to return to a standing position. Knight gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Paratesticles counters with a two punch combo. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alaxander Knight. That's going to take a lot out of him. Knight's corner calls for a 1-2. Knight obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Paratesticles gets a clinch. Knight is fighting off a takedown attempt but Paratesticles is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Knight to the mat. Knight regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Paratesticles is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Paratesticles stands and throws Knight's legs to the side, diving into side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Knight is not content to let Paratesticles control the position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Knight is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Harry Paratesticles showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Paratesticles bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Paratesticles prevents Knight from escaping the position. The ground and pound from Paratesticles seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Paratesticles tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Paratesticles has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Paratesticles taking a breather here. Paratesticles working the ground and pound but Knight is defending the strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Paratesticles throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Knight managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Paratesticles.
You can see the frustration on Knight's face as Paratesticles controls the position. Knight wants to get back to his feet. Knight is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Paratesticles's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Paratesticles is figuring out what he wants to do next.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Knight is looking for a sweep. Paratesticles is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Paratesticles slows the pace down in half guard.
Harry Paratesticles has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Knight moves into the clinch successfully.
Knight is trying to push Paratesticles away but Paratesticles has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Paratesticles gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Paratesticles controlling the action here for a moment.
Paratesticles tries to land knees in the clinch but Knight avoids the damage to the body. Knight has been working on his balance at Basics -LOD- , so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Paratesticles.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Paratesticles manages to break the clinch.
Knight tries for a takedown but Paratesticles sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Paratesticles looking to score a takedown here. Knight is defending well but Paratesticles drives through and ends up in Knight's guard. Paratesticles trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Paratesticles missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Paratesticles stops Knight from standing up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Paratesticles stands and steps away. Knight gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Paratesticles has taken the fight to the clinch.
Paratesticles tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Paratesticles has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Paratesticles gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Paratesticles is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Paratesticles is stalling in the full guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that's the end of the fight! Harry Paratesticles comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Paratesticles has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
