Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Angus MacTavish (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick Bobbet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Angus MacTavish! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Rick Bobbet! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Sam Margolis and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! MacTavish gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. MacTavish looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! MacTavish prevents the takedown attempt.
Bobbet fails to pull guard.
Bobbet is looking for a takedown up against the cage. MacTavish gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Angus MacTavish has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rick Bobbet. MacTavish is trying to maintain a safe position but Bobbet gets an underhook and turns MacTavish into the cage. Come on Bobbet - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Bobbet continues to stall. The referee tells him to work or he's going to break them up. Bobbet wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Bobbet looking for a takedown. Bobbet gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, MacTavish regains guard.
Bobbet wants to pass the guard but MacTavish is keeping the position. Bobbet must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. MacTavish can't keep his opponent in guard - Bobbet advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Bobbet is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Bobbet lands strikes from half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bobbet is looking to stall here but MacTavish recovers full guard. MacTavish is trying to keep Bobbet in close.
Bobbet tries to free his leg and advance position but MacTavish is retaining full guard. Bobbet pushes down on MacTavish's leg and manages to get into half guard. MacTavish has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bobbet is working away from the top position though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bobbet is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Bobbet is looking to take a break and control but MacTavish is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Bobbet slips a nice elbow through MacTavish's hands, connecting with MacTavish's forehead. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bobbet lands strikes from half guard. Bobbet performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Bobbet trying to mount his opponent but MacTavish defends it. Bobbet is looking for a kimura but MacTavish is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Bobbet to get the leverage. Bobbet lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. MacTavish wants to get back to his feet.
Bobbet throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. MacTavish is trying to get back to full guard. MacTavish has hold of Bobbet's hands but Bobbet slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Bobbet decides to return to a standing position. Bobbet ducks down and throws a hook to the body but MacTavish moves away. Bobbet closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. MacTavish tries to kick Bobbet off but Bobbet keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. MacTavish taking some punishment here, with Bobbet in his half guard. Bobbet passes the guard and advances to mount! MacTavish working to try and regain half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bobbet cracks MacTavish with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
MacTavish is desperately trying to improve his position but Bobbet has a good base and remains in mount. Bobbet is in the full mount, landing strikes. A nice elbow there by Bobbet. Bobbet with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
MacTavish is looking to improve his position but Bobbet isn't that keen on the idea. Bobbet raining down shots from the mount! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rick Bobbet dominated that round. That's time! MacTavish's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

MacTavish shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Bobbet moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Bobbet misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Bobbet connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed MacTavish momentarily.
Bobbet shoots for a double leg takedown but MacTavish sprawls well. He's pushed Bobbet's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. MacTavish swats away the attempt to clinch by Bobbet. Bobbet shoots in but MacTavish avoids the takedown attempt easily. Excellent takedown into side control there by MacTavish. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Bobbet is looking for a sweep.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bobbet is being controlled here. Bobbet is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on MacTavish's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. MacTavish wants to pass to mount but Bobbet is defending the position. MacTavish takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Bobbet misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Bobbet pushes MacTavish off looking to stand but MacTavish dives back in and keeps control.
MacTavish postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Bobbet to stand up. Bobbet misses with a takedown and MacTavish counters with an inside leg kick. Angus MacTavish has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rick Bobbet. MacTavish lands a right hook to the body.
A combination from Bobbet does no damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. MacTavish moves into the clinch successfully.
MacTavish gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Bobbet.
MacTavish fails to pull guard.
Bobbet is pressed up against the cage. MacTavish has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Bobbet down to the mat. Bobbet avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Rick Bobbet seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bobbet throws a head kick but MacTavish moves out of range.
MacTavish shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bobbet is on top in guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Bobbet loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. MacTavish is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. MacTavish manages to break the clinch.
Bobbet tries for a takedown but MacTavish circles away easily and MacTavish counters with a shoot takedown. Bobbet fights it but they end up in guard. MacTavish stopping the sweep attempt from Bobbet. MacTavish trying to control but Bobbet is working from the bottom. MacTavish controls the pace of the fight for a moment. MacTavish stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bobbet swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bobbet is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. MacTavish trying to hold on to Bobbet's head to control him but Bobbet postures up.
MacTavish is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Bobbet is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Bobbet working over MacTavish with some ground and pound. MacTavish looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. MacTavish is refusing to be controlled, as Bobbet sits in half guard. MacTavish won't allow Bobbet to pass to mount. Bobbet seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but MacTavish does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. MacTavish is looking to control Bobbet's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can MacTavish avoid being mounted? And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Angus MacTavish dominated that second round. That's time! MacTavish's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. And we move into the final round!
Bobbet tries to clinch and MacTavish counters with a nice double leg into guard. Bobbet wants to sweep but no luck. Bobbet manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Bobbet with shots to the head and body - MacTavish looks very uncomfortable down there. Bobbet fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
A nice elbow there by Bobbet. Bobbet with a couple of short strikes. Bobbet punishing his opponent with strikes. Bobbet lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Bobbet looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
MacTavish is wriggling around trying to escape.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bobbet landing strikes from the mount and MacTavish is in trouble! MacTavish is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Bobbet has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of MacTavish's face.
MacTavish tries to hold on but Bobbet postures up. Bobbet is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But MacTavish has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from MacTavish! MacTavish in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Bobbet is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. MacTavish pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Bobbet is keeping the position for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Bobbet tries to land a sweep but no joy. Rick Bobbet has got the better of the ground game so far. Bobbet is looking to stand up but MacTavish isn't so interested in that idea. MacTavish is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Bobbet bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in MacTavish's guard. Bobbet wants to stand and escape but instead MacTavish has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Bobbet looking to sweep here. No luck so far. MacTavish trying to control but Bobbet is working from the bottom. Bobbet keeping full guard, as MacTavish tries to pass.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bobbet throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Bobbet pushes MacTavish off and scrambles back to his feet.
Bobbet stuffs the takedown attempt from MacTavish. MacTavish gets slowly back to his feet. Bobbet looks for a takedown but MacTavish sprawls well. MacTavish throws a leg kick which misses Bobbet's front leg but catches the back leg as Bobbet tries to avoid it. Bobbet is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Bobbet throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Bobbet gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bobbet doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
MacTavish gets to his feet. Bobbet looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Bobbet closes this distance looking for a takedown but MacTavish circles away. Bobbet has his takedown stuffed and MacTavish counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by MacTavish. Angus MacTavish has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rick Bobbet. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Bobbet wants to stand up but MacTavish is controlling him. MacTavish wants to stand but Bobbet has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Bobbet keeping moving, preventing MacTavish from controlling successfully. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Bobbet working a defensive guard here.
