Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chew Bacca (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and To Hak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bacca kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is 3rd world!. To Hak struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 171.9lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Chew Bacca has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Chew Bacca!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, To Hak!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Paul Gruel and Ryoma Takatsuka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hak scoring well with a low kick there.
Hak connects with the punch.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Bacca crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Hak - the referee stops the clock and Bacca gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Hak. Bacca manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
To Hak seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bacca misses with a body kick.
Hak throws a sloppy head kick and Bacca moves out of range easily.

Bacca on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Hak. Hak obviously looking to wear him down.

Hak tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Bacca paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Bacca chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Hak can pounce on him.

Bacca has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Bacca there as he acknowledges the shot.

Hak clinches up against the ropes.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.

Bacca looking to throw knees to the head but Hak is blocking nicely.
Hak scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Bacca fails to pull guard.
Bacca is trying to pull guard but Hak turns him against the ropes and we stay in the clinch.
Hak tries to throw a body punch but Bacca avoids it by throwing Hak back against the ropes.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Hak.
Hak makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hak blocks the elbow strike.
A left hand lands to the body for Hak.

Bacca on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Hak swings wildly with an uppercut but Bacca uses good head movement to avoid it.
Bacca tries to land knees in the clinch but Hak avoids the damage to the body.
Hak lands a left hand.

A short right from Hak on the inside.
Bacca is trying to break the clinch but Hak has him pressed against the ropes.
Bacca is trying to pull guard but Hak turns him against the ropes and we stay in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chew Bacca. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hak throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Baccas head.


Bacca is rocked!
Hak misses with a short punch on the inside.
Oh Bacca is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Hak swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Hak tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Bacca tries to circle away but Hak has him pinned against the ropes.

Bacca seems to have got his legs back now.
Bacca unloads a knee to the mid-section.
Bacca tries to land a knee to the head but Hak blocks with his arms.
Bacca has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Hak after a bit of a struggle.
Hak prevents a body shot from Bacca.
Bacca blocking some punches.
Hak lands a hook to the side of the head.
With the fighters clinched against the ropes, Hak creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
A right hook to the body lands for Hak.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hak makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Bacca tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Hak avoids it.

Bacca with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Hak misses with a short punch on the inside.
Bacca is trying to break the clinch but Hak has him pressed against the ropes.
Hak scores with a nice hook to the head.
Bacca is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Hak is defending well for now.

Bacca tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Hak avoids it.

Hak pushes Bacca against the ropes. Hak is working some dirty boxing. Hak pushes off with a quick right hook! Bacca goes down! Bacca tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Hak moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). To Hak!
A relieved looking To Hak thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
