Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Konstantin Khavin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Haka Maka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maka is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Island Music. Konstantin Khavin has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
26 - 16 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Konstantin Khavin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
22 - 24 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Haka Maka! The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Khavin misses with a combination
and Maka counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Maka tries to break free but Khavin pushes him back against the cage. Maka tries to pull guard but Khavin holds him up against the cage and eventually Maka drops back down to his feet.
Maka is trying to force a seperation but Khavin has the dominant position. A short right from Khavin on the inside. Maka is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Khavin pulls him back up using the underhooks. Maka wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Khavin has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Khavin content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Khavin lands an elbow inside. Khavin misses with a hook to the ribs.
Maka tries to score a body lock takedown but Khavin shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Konstantin Khavin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Haka Maka. Khavin is struggling to control the position. Khavin tries to throw a body punch but Maka avoids it by throwing Khavin back against the cage. Khavin unloads a knee to the mid-section. Maka wants a takedown but no success here.
Khavin lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Khavin taking a breather.
That's one minute gone in the round. Maka takes a shot to the head. Khavin slowing the pace effectively. Maka avoiding damage as Khavin throws knees to the body.
Maka ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Maka no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Khavin stands and steps away. Maka gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Khavin throws the kick towards the body but Maka avoids it. Konstantin Khavin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Khavin is looking to chop away at Maka's legs. Maka shoots in for a takedown but Khavin shows good takedown defense. Maka fails to land with a series of punches.
Khavin pushes Maka up against the cage in a clinch. Maka tries to break the clinch but Khavin is controlling the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Khavin prevents a body shot from Maka. Maka breaks from the clinch.
Good exchange - Khavin coming out on top. Maka looks for a takedown but Khavin sprawls well. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Maka will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Khavin throws a body punch but Maka moves out of range. Khavin throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Maka checks a leg kick. Maka takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Khavin lands a head kick!
Maka shoots in and drives through. Khavin sprawls well. No luck with that takedown attempt from Maka. Khavin lands a nice shot to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A slapping leg kick lands for Khavin.
Konstantin Khavin is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Khavin thows a body shot but no joy. Khavin throws a sloppy head kick and Maka moves out of range easily. Maka misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Khavin pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Khavin keeps Maka at a distance using the push kick. Khavin gets a clinch. Maka blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Maka tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Khavin lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Maka has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Khavin is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Khavin putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Maka in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Maka looks winded! Khavin pressing his opponent against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Khavin creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Khavin lands a nice elbow. Khavin gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Maka.
Khavin misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Maka.
Maka tries to work over Khavin's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Khavin lands with a left to the head. Khavin taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Maka takes a knee to the side of the body. Khavin connects with a nasty looking knee right to Maka's face.
Maka is rocked! Khavin lands a big knee! That's hurt Maka! Oh, he's all over the place! Khavin lands another knee that sends Maka to the floor and the referee steps in to end the fight!
