Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Locke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richie Yang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Locke comes to the ring accompanied by Star Wars - Imperial March. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
20 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, John Locke! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
24 - 31 - 0, fighting out of London, Richie Yang! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Donald Grub and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yang tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Locke swivels and escapes. No luck with that takedown attempt from Yang. Yang tries for a takedown but Locke circles away easily and Locke counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. John Locke has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Richie Yang. Yang is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Locke defends well. Our spies down at at Gorilla Warfare MMA inform us that Yang has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? Locke trying to control the position from guard on top but Yang is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Yang not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Yang working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Locke has passed into half guard!
Locke seems to be looking for submissions.
Locke is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Yang is just riding it out for now. Locke eventually gives up the hold.
That's one minute gone in the round. Locke wants to work for an arm triangle but Yang is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Yang is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Locke pulls his head out easily. Yang trying to control here.
Locke content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Yang is looking to control Locke's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Yang avoid being mounted? Yang makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Yang.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Yang is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Locke defends well. Yang is trying to keep Locke in close.
Locke advances position into side control! Yang is trying to improve his position. Yang is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Locke is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Yang really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Locke is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Yang has managed to escape the submission attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Locke avoids the attempt from Yang to control. Locke is working for a guillotine from mount but Yang frees his head quite easily.
Locke wants to control the pace but Yang is squirming around nicely. Locke avoids the attempt from Yang to control. Yang regains half guard. Locke looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Yang is not content to let Locke control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Yang trying to hold on to Locke's head to control him but Locke postures up.
Locke is keen to just control but Yang is a slippery customer. Yang looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Locke is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Yang sees it coming and defends easily. Locke is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Yang is just riding it out for now. Locke eventually gives up the hold. Locke wants to take a breather but Yang is having none of it.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Yang wants to control but Locke is keeping busy and won't allow it. Yang is looking for a sweep. Locke is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Locke has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Yang defend it? Locke steps over the head and cranks it - Yang is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Locke!
