Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tatsuya Kawajiri!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Skyler Nelson!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Sam Margolis and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kawajiri shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Kawajiri was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Kawajiri remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Kawajiri got a little sloppy there for a moment and Nelson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kawajiri has managed to get both his arms back between Nelson's legs - danger averted.

Kawajiri drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Kawajiri as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Nelson screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Kawajiri! Nice submission victory there!
