Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Victor Fortbel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charlie Maccarone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fortbel comes into the arena with 300 Violin Orchestra Remix blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fortbel sets himself and throws a head kick that knocks Maccarone to the ground! Fortbel dives into full mount looking to finish!
It looks like Charlie Maccarone has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Maccarone is trying to escape the mount.
Fortbel with a couple of short strikes.
Fortbel pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Maccarone is rocked!
Fortbel fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Maccarone is still in real trouble! Can Fortbel finish him?
Maccarone has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.
Fortbel postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Maccarone badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Fortbel around the waist but Fortbel pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Fortbel is the winner by TKO! Fortbel jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Victor Fortbel!
Victor Fortbel bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
