The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riddell keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Masters.
Masters throws a shot from downtown. Riddell moves away and avoids it.
Masters misses with the combination.
Masters tries to clinch up but Riddell circles away and keeps his distance.
Nice combo by Masters! Oh, that's hurt him - Riddell falls to the canvas and Masters follows him into side control.

It looks like Ike Riddell has been cut.

Masters goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Riddell rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Masters's guard! Nice work there by Riddell!

Masters throws an overhand right that lands on Riddell's shoulder, as Riddell tries to avoid the shot.

Riddell tries to bum rush Masters with a series of wild strikes but Masters uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Riddell ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Riddell lands a nice looking body shot.
Riddell throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Riddell tries to clinch but Masters is having none of it.
Riddell uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Masters.
Masters looks to land a right hand but Riddell moved out of range.

Riddell takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Masters shoots in for a double leg but Riddell sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

and Riddell counters with a head kick. That will keep Masters thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Riddell fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Masters throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Masters avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Masters throws out a loose jab but Riddell uses good head movement to avoid it.
Masters misses with a hook. Riddell ducked under it nicely.
Riddell throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Masters's head.
Masters misses with a straight left.

Riddell moves into the clinch.

Riddell breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Riddell jabs Masters right on the nose. Masters blinks but takes it well.

Masters might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Masters lands with a hook. Riddell tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Riddell walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Masters avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Trent Masters seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Masters misses with a hook. Riddell ducked under it nicely.
Masters looks to throw the jab but Riddell is out of range.

and Riddell counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Riddell.
