Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Andreas Meyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rob Rod (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rob Rod!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Gwen Towbar and Daniel Franklin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Rod.
Meyer tries to clinch but Rod is having none of it.
Rod shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Meyer counters with a three punch combo that has Rod backing up. Rod nods at Meyer to acknowledge the strikes.

Rod manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Meyer on his heels. He'll look to pass Meyer's guard now, I'm sure.

Rod is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Meyer is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Meyer has escaped and now he's on top!
Meyer postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Rod working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Meyer doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Meyer manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Rod looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Rod had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Meyer defends it easily.
Meyer has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Rod has his feet on Meyer's thighs here. He's pushed Meyer off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Meyer screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
