Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Antonio Manoel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Musashimaru Koyo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Manoel might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Hino do Flamengo. Koyo is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: "Tengoku Kara Kaminari" by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole . Antonio Manoel has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
28 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Antonio Manoel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

36 - 15 - 2, fighting out of Sydney, Musashimaru Koyo!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Chris Edwards and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manoel bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Manoel dodges the punch combination from Koyo.
Koyo is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Manoel.
A big left from Koyo misses.
Manoel throws a body punch but Koyo moves out of range.
Koyo throws a lazy right hand but Manoel sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Koyo misses with a kick to the body.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Koyo has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Koyo tries to close the distance and clinch but Manoel swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Koyo takes a swing at Manoel's ribcage but misses.
Koyo fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Manoel has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Koyo drops down looking for an ankle pick but Manoel pulls his leg out and moves away.
Manoel lands a nice leg kick that just misses Koyo's sensitive parts.

Manoel's jab looks to have found its range, popping Koyo under the eye.

Koyo goes for a double leg but Manoel avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Manoel continues to drive forward.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Manoel creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Manoel's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Manoel dips a shoulder and cracks Koyo with a mighty uppercut! Koyo falls back against the cage and Manoel unloads with a barrage of strikes! Koyo is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Manoel screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Antonio Manoel!
