0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, DeShawn Chambers! The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chambers forces Gallegos back against the cage and clinches. Chambers ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Chambers no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Chambers looking to control.
Chambers might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Gallegos haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Gallegos controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Chambers trying to control the position.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Chambers is on top in guard.
Gallegos is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Gallegos really is a fat lump.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Chambers moves into the clinch successfully.

Chambers pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Chambers throws a nice inside leg kick. Chambers shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Gallegos is trying to defend but Chambers finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Gallegos is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. Chambers is looking to take a break and control but Gallegos is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Chambers closes the distance and clinches. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Chambers displaying some good clinch control by pressing Gallegos up against the cage. Chambers jumps guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Chambers holds on and takes a little breather. Chambers looking for a guillotine here but Gallegos defends easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gallegos prevents Chambers from getting back to his feet. Gallegos chips away with some ground and pound. Chambers working a defensive guard here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Chambers looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Gallegos trying to control but Chambers is working from the bottom. Chambers is looking to sweep but instead, Gallegos has passed into half guard.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Chambers wants to control but Gallegos is keeping busy.

Gallegos drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Chambers dives on top into guard. Gallegos working a defensive guard but Chambers manages to pass into side control anyway.

DeShawn Chambers has got the better of the ground game so far. Gallegos struggling a bit here. Gallegos is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Chambers looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Chambers trying to control the action but Gallegos is working from the bottom. Chambers not doing much here.

OK we're going to have a standup here. DeShawn Chambers hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Chambers misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Chambers takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Chambers shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Gallegos manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Gallegos is controlling Chambers's posture. Chambers tries to free his leg and advance position but Gallegos is retaining full guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Chambers clinches up against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Chambers has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Gallegos regains guard immediately. Chambers missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Chambers is fighting to break Gallegos's control of his arms but Gallegos is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Chambers slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Gallegos trying to control the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Chambers forces his way into half guard. Sylvester Gallegos has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! DeShawn Chambers is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Gallegos throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
And that's the end of the fight! DeShawn Chambers comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Chambers has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
