Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Athens Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Desmond Zertiis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Athens Walker has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Athens Walker seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Bruno Hogan and Darius Henderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walker misses with a takedown attempt - Zertiis sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Zertiis misses with a two punch combination.
Zertiis throws a leg kick but Walker sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Walker has his takedown stuffed
and Zertiis counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Walker fails to land the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Athens Walker. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and Walker takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Zertiis's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Zertiis duly obliges.
It looks like Athens Walker has been cut.

and Zertiis counters with a one-two to the body.
Walker is rocked!
Zertiis has worked on his takedown defense in the runup to this fight and it is paying off so far.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Zertiis scores with a counter punch that sends Walker to the canvas! Zertiis smells blood - he's punishing Walker with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Walker has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
