The judges for this bout are James Glass, Andrew Berry and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kurzhez throws a combination. Lecter tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Lecter shoots and misses
and Kurzhez counters with a one-two to the body.
Lecter fails with the takedown
and Kurzhez counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Kurzhez scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

Uali Kurzhez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hannibal Lecter.

Lecter is trying to drag Kurzhez to the mat but Kurzhez just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Kurzhez escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Lecter stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Kurzhez.
Lecter shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Kurzhez counters with a stiff right hand.

and Kurzhez counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Lecter!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kurzhez tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Kurzhez knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lecter on the ground.

Kurzhez has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Lecter tries for a takedown but Kurzhez circles away easily
and Kurzhez counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Lecter is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Kurzhez tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Lecter is able to avoid easily.
Lecter has his takedown stuffed
and Kurzhez counters with a two punch combo.
Kurzhez fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Lecter gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Kurzhez counters with a left and a right that stings Lecter.
Uali Kurzhez is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Kurzhez's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Kurzhez duly obliges.
Kurzhez lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Lecter is rocked!

Lecter doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Kurzhez counters with a right, left combo that wobbles Lecter badly! Kurzhez follows up with a massive right hook, straight to the bridge of the nose that knocks Lecter out cold! Oh wow, what a finish! Very reminiscent of Koscheck vs Yoshida as Kurzhez finished him against the cage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:06 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Uali Kurzhez!
