Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Cesys Kazlauskas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nicholas Weichel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Cesys Kazlauskas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Nicholas Weichel! The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Phil Schofield and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kazlauskas shoots in and drives through. Weichel sprawls well. Kazlauskas tries to score a power double leg takedown but Weichel sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kazlauskas somewhat. Kazlauskas shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Weichel as he avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cesys Kazlauskas. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kazlauskas slips a straight right by Weichel. Excellent takedown into side control there by Weichel. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Kazlauskas is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Weichel is controlling him well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Weichel wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kazlauskas keeps working. Kazlauskas parries the strikes from Weichel easily there. Weichel is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Kazlauskas to escape.
Weichel wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Kazlauskas, who protects the arm well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kazlauskas is not content to let Weichel control the position. Kazlauskas tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Weichel wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Weichel wants to control but Kazlauskas is keeping him busy. Kazlauskas might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Kazlauskas is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Kazlauskas avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Weichel. Weichel looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Weichel is stalling here. Kazlauskas is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Weichel seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Kazlauskas has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Kazlauskas is looking for a kimura but Weichel is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Kazlauskas to get the leverage. Kazlauskas is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Weichel has managed to free his arm - good work. Kazlauskas is looking to stall here but Weichel recovers full guard. Kazlauskas trying to control but Weichel is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kazlauskas tries to free his leg and advance position but Weichel is retaining full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Weichel looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kazlauskas is one step ahead there. Kazlauskas pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Weichel is keeping the position for now. Kazlauskas connects with a couple of short punches. Weichel is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kazlauskas is controlling him. Kazlauskas drops back for a leg! OK we're going to have a standup here. Nicholas Weichel hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. No luck for Kazlauskas with that takedown attempt. Weichel looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kazlauskas tries for a takedown but Weichel sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Weichel is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Weichel jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kazlauskas walks away with a smile on his face. Weichel gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Kazlauskas swats away the attempt to clinch by Weichel. Kazlauskas fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Kazlauskas misses with a takedown attempt and Weichel counters with a nice double leg into guard. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cesys Kazlauskas. That's going to take a lot out of him. Weichel wants to pass the guard but Kazlauskas is keeping the position. Kazlauskas keeping moving, preventing Weichel from controlling successfully. Weichel stands and throws Kazlauskas's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Kazlauskas is trying to escape the position but Weichel is controlling the position. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kazlauskas is looking for a sweep. Kazlauskas bucks up and tries to throw Weichel off but instead Weichel has got his back! Weichel is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Well, with Weichel on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Kazlauskas is tapping out... Can he escape the position? Kazlauskas breaks Weichel's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Kazlauskas is looking to advance position but Weichel has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Weichel is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Kazlauskas can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

He's in guard on the top - nicely done! This has been an exciting period of action! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kazlauskas trying to control the position from guard on top but Weichel is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Weichel escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kazlauskas gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nicholas Weichel showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
