Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Connor Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ray Hunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Connor Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ray Hunt!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, David Hoff and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones misses with a wild body shot.
Hunt tries to close the distance and clinch but Jones swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Hunt closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Jones definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Jones prevents Hunt from moving into mount.
Hunt looks winded!
Jones is trying to get back to half guard.
Jones manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Jones is holding on to half guard well.
Jones tries to kick Hunt off but Hunt keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jones has his hands clasped together around Hunt's back. He's all about the action.
Hunt looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Jones might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Jones is not content to let Hunt control the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Hunt moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Jones catches Hunt napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Hunt to the canvas!


It looks like Ray Hunt has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Jones has gone for a leg lock! Hunt slips out almost immediately though and dives into Jones's guard.
Hunt prevents Jones from getting back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Jones kicks Hunt off and gets to his feet.
Hunt shoots in for a double leg but Jones sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Jones decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Jones in particular looking to stall.
Hunt has hold of Jones's hands but Jones slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Jones connects with a nice short shot to Hunt's temple.

Jones is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Jones working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Hunt wants to improve his position but Jones is controlling well.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Jones not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Jones wants to take a breather but Hunt is having none of it.
Nice strikes from Jones there.
Jones is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Jones wants to control but Hunt is keeping him busy.
Jones is nestled in close to Hunt, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Jones is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Jones lands strikes from half guard.
Jones is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Jones is looking to take a break and control but Hunt is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Jones content to control rather than advance.
Jones has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Jones winds up and cracks Hunt with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Jones is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hunt is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Jones scores with a couple of nice shots.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Hunt taking some punishment here, with Jones in his half guard.
Jones takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.


Hunt is rocked!
Jones wants to control but Hunt is keeping him busy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Connor Jones dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Ray Hunt's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Jones lands a right hook to the body.

Jones moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Hunt goes down! Can Jones finish him!?
Hunt is still in real trouble! Can Jones finish him?
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Jones stands up over Hunt, holding on to his feet. Jones throws the legs to one side and dives in with a huge shot that lands flush on the chin! Hunt is out cold! Jones lands a couple more shots and the ref tackles him out of the way! What a brutal finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:27 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Connor Jones!
