Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Janek Smok (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kuroda Atsushi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

30 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kuroda Atsushi! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Summer Carpenter and Topper Green.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Smok with a lazy takedown attempt and Atsushi moves into the clinch. Atsushi is trying to maintain a safe position but Smok gets an underhook and turns Atsushi into the ropes. Atsushi lands with a short shot to the head. Smok has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Atsushi after a bit of a struggle. Atsushi scores with an uppercut up the middle. Smok tries for a takedown but Atsushi manages to get underhooks.

Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Atsushi is nestled in close to Smok, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Smok has hold of Atsushi's hands but Atsushi slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Smok trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Atsushi manages to pass to mount!

Let's hope that Atsushi has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Smok is in all sorts of trouble here.

Smok is desperately trying to improve his position but Atsushi has a good base and remains in mount.
That's nine minutes gone in the round. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Atsushi cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Smok is wriggling around trying to escape.

Atsushi unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Smok! He's leaning against the ropes trying to keep his feet but Atsushi is unloading with more strikes now! Smok drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 6:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kuroda Atsushi! A very excited looking Kuroda Atsushi made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
