And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aoki has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Blackwaters.
Aoki shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Blackwaters as he jumps to the side.
Left hook, right uppercut from Blackwaters.
Sloppy strikes from Aoki. Those never looked like landing.
Blackwaters lands a head kick!
Aoki tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Blackwaters defends well and Aoki ends up having to push Blackwaters into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Blackwaters is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Aoki tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Steven Aoki. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Blackwaters gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

Blackwaters stands and steps away. Aoki gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Blackwaters lands a nice leg kick that just misses Aoki's sensitive parts.
A thudding body kick lands there by Blackwaters!
Blackwaters thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Aoki if he has to take too many more of those.

A telegraphed right hand from Aoki misses the target.
Blackwaters lands a front kick.
Aoki takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Blackwaters throws a front kick that sends Aoki stumbling back into the cage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Aoki swings for the body but Blackwaters moves out of range.
Aoki changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Blackwaters tries to avoid it but Aoki manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Blackwaters to the ground. Blackwaters escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Lars Blackwaters seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Aoki crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Blackwaters - the referee stops the clock and Aoki gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Blackwaters. Aoki manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Aoki is breathing heavily.

Blackwaters avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Blackwaters throws a quick inside leg kick.
Nice body kick there by Blackwaters.
Blackwaters fakes the leg kick and cracks Aoki in the body.
Lars Blackwaters is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Aoki takes a swing at Blackwaters's ribcage but misses.
Both fighters circling a little - Blackwaters finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Blackwaters throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Aoki takes a kick to the side of the head.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Blackwaters. Aoki shrugs it off though.
Blackwaters moves into range and lands a nice body kick.

A head kick from Blackwaters lands but Aoki takes it in his stride.

No luck for Aoki with that takedown attempt.
Oh Aoki is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Blackwaters lands a big head kick that sends Aoki to the canvas! Blackwaters follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!

Lars Blackwaters spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
