Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Caldwell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Reyes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnny Reyes has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Bobby Caldwell's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bobby Caldwell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Johnny Reyes!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, William Peck and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reyes closes the distance looking to clinch

and Caldwell counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Caldwell seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Reyes does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Caldwell really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Caldwell wants to sweep but no luck.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Johnny Reyes hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
The fighters circling - Reyes throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Bobby Caldwell is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Caldwell drops back looking for a leg! Reyes is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Reyes manages to kick Caldwell off! Caldwell jumps back into Reyes's guard.

Reyes's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Reyes continues to stall. The referee tells him to work or he's going to break them up.
Reyes is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Caldwell will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Bobby Caldwell.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Caldwell, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
