Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tito Acton!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Master Disaster!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Luis Engracia and Mauricio Rocha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A right-left combo lands from Disaster.

Acton scores with a takedown into Disaster's guard.

Acton wants to control from the top but Disaster keeps moving.

Disaster has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Acton can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Disaster is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Disaster has his foot on Acton's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Acton works his way back into a safe position though.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Disaster working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Acton doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Acton manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Acton shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Disaster as he jumps to the side.
Acton throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Disaster's waist but Disaster gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Acton off to one side.
The fight stays on the outside here - Acton looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Acton feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Disaster wants to get up but he can't break Acton's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

That was a close round but I would say that Tito Acton will probably get the nod.

Disaster fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Acton sprawls well initially but Disaster persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Disaster is nestled in close to Acton, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Disaster had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Acton is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Disaster Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Acton's back instead.

Disaster scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Master Disaster seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Acton counters with a nice double leg into side control. Disaster won't be happy with that.
