Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jorje Slayer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jed Masilungan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Slayer's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Otep - Battle Ready. Masilungan has chosen Bound to Violence by Hatebreed as his entrance music. Jorje Slayer had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jorje Slayer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Paulo Santos and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Masilungan lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Slayer shoots for a double leg takedown but Masilungan sprawls well. He's pushed Slayer's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Slayer shoots in and drives through. Masilungan sprawls well.
Slayer looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Slayer tries for a takedown but Masilungan manages to get underhooks.

Slayer has Masilungan pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Slayer pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Masilungan tumbling to the mat - Slayer dives into Masilungan's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Masilungan working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Slayer doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Slayer manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Masilungan wants to get back to his feet but Slayer is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

and Masilungan counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Slayer is lucky that one didn't land flush.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Masilungan throws a low kick but Slayer avoids it.

Slayer shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Masilungan's guard.
Masilungan is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Masilungan has his foot on Slayer's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Slayer works his way back into a safe position though.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Slayer is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jorje Slayer will probably get the nod.

Masilungan drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Masilungan jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Masilungan is pressed up against the cage. Slayer has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Masilungan down to the mat. Masilungan avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

and Masilungan counters with a nice low kick that buckles Slayer's knee momentarily.

and Masilungan makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
