Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Roger Ring!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Gary Dance!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Donald Grub and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ring throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Dance was covering up waiting for the punch and Ring finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Dance is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Ring trying to control the position from guard on top but Dance is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Ring wants to stand and escape but instead Dance has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Ring being controlled here, momentarily.
Ring looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Dance puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ring misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Ring wants to improve his position but Dance is controlling well.
Dance perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Gary Dance has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Ring closes the distance and clinches.
Ring is trying to break the clinch but Dance has him pressed against the cage.

Ring breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Ring throws a big shot that misses.
A solid leg kick lands there for Ring.

Ring gets a takedown into half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Ring is stalling here. Dance is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Ring seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Dance has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Ring might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Dance taking a breather here.
Ring is looking to reverse the position.

Dance thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Dance tries for a kimura but Ring is defending well.

Dance staying calm.
Ring is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
You can see the frustration on Ring's face as Dance controls the position.

Dance in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Ring is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
