Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jim Bang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Henrik Larsson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jim Bang! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Henrik Larsson! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Alexandre Firmino and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Larsson throws a head kick but Bang moves out of range.

Bang tries to keep at a distance but Larsson has taken the fight into the clinch. Bang tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Larsson smiles and moves away.
Bang dodges the punch combination from Larsson.
Larsson throws a right and a left that both miss. Larsson tries to clinch there but Bang circles away.
Bang fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Larsson drives through with a takedown into guard. Bang wants to stand and escape but Larsson is having none of it. Bang manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

That's one minute gone in the round. Bang looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Bang takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Bang cracks Larsson with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Bang sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Bang really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Larsson tries to reverse the position but Bang maintains control. Bang throwing strikes here but Larsson is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Larsson is working to get back to half guard.
Larsson tries to lock up and control but Bang gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Larsson gets back to half guard. Larsson looking for submissions from an awkward position here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bang tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Larsson.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Bang missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Larsson keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Larsson looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Larsson looks gassed! Bang thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Bang trying to pass the guard but Larsson defending well. Bang is looking to stall here but Larsson recovers full guard.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Larsson has closed the distance and engaged Bang in a clinch.

Bang throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Larsson works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Larsson had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Bang is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Larsson Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Bang's back instead. Bang breaks Larsson's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Bang is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Larsson wants to sweep here but Bang controlling him for the moment. Larsson controls Bang momentarily but Bang frees himself.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Bang trying to control the position from guard on top but Larsson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Bang blocks the body kick.
Henrik Larsson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A head kick misses from Larsson. Larsson fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Left hook, right uppercut from Bang. Bang fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Larsson, pushing him back against the cage. Bang has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Larsson regains guard immediately. Larsson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Larsson can't keep his opponent in guard - Bang advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bang seems to be working for a kimura but Larsson defends the submission attempt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Henrik Larsson will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Larsson tries to clinch but Bang moves away and Bang decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Larsson's guard. Larsson is looking for a triangle here but Bang uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Larsson tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Bang wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Bang looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Larsson gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Bang is keen to just control but Larsson is a slippery customer.
That's one minute gone in the round. Larsson tries to roll over but Bang keeps him under control. Larsson makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Larsson tries to clinch up but Bang circles away and keeps his distance. Bang changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Larsson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Bang wants to control but Larsson is keeping him busy. Larsson manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Bang is working for a kimura but Larsson is defending it quite comfortably.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Larsson wants to sweep here but Bang controlling him for the moment. Larsson working for a triangle but Bang defends it easily.
Bang lands a couple of elbows. Bang missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Larsson tries to land a sweep but no joy. Jim Bang overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Larsson keeping moving, preventing Bang from controlling successfully.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Larsson tries to clinch up but Bang circles away and keeps his distance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Larsson misses with a takedown and Bang counters by moving into the clinch. Bang tries to break the clinch but Larsson is controlling the position. Larsson has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Bang is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Bang gets a trip takedown into half guard. Larsson gets back to full guard.
Bang missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Bang wanted to stand there but Larsson had control of the position. Larsson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Bang wants to control but Larsson is keeping busy.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Larsson swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Bang is now in Larsson's guard. A big mistake from Larsson there, giving up the dominant position! Larsson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bang gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Bang avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Bang has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Larsson kicks Bang off and gets to his feet. Bang fails with the takedown and Larsson holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Larsson tries to land a knee to the head but Bang blocks with his arms.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Larsson lands with a short shot to the head. Bang wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Larsson has him pressed against the cage. Bang is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Larsson pulls him back up using the underhooks. Bang drops down looking for an ankle pick but Larsson pulls his leg out and moves away.
Larsson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jim Bang. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are breathing heavily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Larsson scores a takedown into full mount! Larsson wants to finish this one by submission but Bang is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Larsson.

Larsson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Bang wants to improve his position but Larsson is controlling well.

Larsson prevents Bang from improving his position. Larsson working Bang over with strikes. That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Bang looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Larsson! Larsson can't escape the position.

And that's the end of the fight! Henrik Larsson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Larsson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
