Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
34 - 21 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Kublai Congo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 13 - 0, fighting out of New York, Emory Majors! The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Viktor Lagutenko and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Majors digs a good body shot into Congo's ribs. Congo throws a combination that misses and Majors counters with a two punch combo. Congo moves away from the strike by Majors. Majors shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Congo as he jumps to the side. Majors throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Congo counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Congo moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Majors scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Majors shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Congo sprawls well. Congo wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Majors gets slowly back to his feet. Majors looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Congo keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Kublai Congo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Emory Majors. A jab from Congo misses. Majors closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Majors looks to throw a body kick and Congo makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Majors throws a combination that misses and Congo counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Majors thinking. Majors looks winded! Congo throws a lazy uppercut
and Majors counters with a nice double leg into guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Majors working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Majors got a little sloppy there for a moment and Congo has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Majors has managed to get both his arms back between Congo's legs - danger averted. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Majors wants to get up but he can't break Congo's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Majors throws a big elbow that misses. Congo has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Congo working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Majors. Majors is looking to work some ground and pound but Congo has wrist control. This has been an exciting period of action! Majors loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Congo working a defensive guard here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Congo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Majors doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Congo is tightening it up a little... Majors has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Majors reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Majors taps out! Nice BJJ there by Congo!
