Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Elmer Lucas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Butch McGoo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Butch McGoo is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Alan Glass and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGoo gets a takedown into half guard.
McGoo is taking a breather. Lucas says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Lucas avoiding damage under a succession of punches from McGoo.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with McGoo in particular looking to stall.
Lucas looking for submissions off his back.
Lucas actively working from the bottom here.
Lucas wants to control but McGoo is keeping busy.
McGoo tries to pass to full mount but Lucas defends it.

McGoo with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lucas pushes McGoo off but McGoo dives into side control.
McGoo takes a little break here. Lucas wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
McGoo working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Lucas is trying to control McGoo's posture but McGoo avoids it.

McGoo looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
McGoo thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Lucas tries to bench press McGoo off him but McGoo keeps the position.

McGoo has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Lucas!

McGoo misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Lucas really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Lucas is bucking up trying to escape but McGoo cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

McGoo jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Lucas is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Lucas and McGoo has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Lucas is not content to let McGoo control the position.

Lucas wants to control but McGoo postures up.
Lucas tries to strike from the bottom but misses.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Lucas manages to get back to half guard.
McGoo is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
McGoo is controlling the pace.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

McGoo has taken the fight to the clinch.
Lucas can't get the takedown.
McGoo has hold of one of Lucas's legs. Lucas is fighting the takedown attempt but McGoo gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Lucas looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but McGoo puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
McGoo is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Lucas wants to control but McGoo is having none of it.

McGoo unloads with some shots from mount but Lucas bucks and avoids them well.

Let's hope that McGoo has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Butch McGoo wasn't active enough on the ground.
McGoo shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Lucas napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Lucas struggling a bit here.

Lucas is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but McGoo is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
Lucas wants to hold on but McGoo pushes him away.
McGoo is standing up, even though he is in mount.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
McGoo feints and as Lucas raises his hands in defense, McGoo changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
McGoo got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lucas has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, McGoo has managed to get both his arms back between Lucas's legs - danger averted.
McGoo throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Lucas works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

McGoo passes easily into side control. Nice work.
McGoo misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
McGoo in side control, throwing shots but Lucas defends.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lucas wants to control but McGoo postures up.
McGoo misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
McGoo is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Lucas knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
McGoo misses with the ground and pound.

Butch McGoo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!
A punch combination from McGoo misses.
McGoo throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Lucas counters with a left and a right that stings McGoo.
McGoo lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
It looks like Elmer Lucas has been cut.
McGoo fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Lucas sprawls well initially but McGoo persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with McGoo in particular looking to stall.
Lucas is trying to get back to full guard.

McGoo is pressing down on Lucas's thigh, looking to free his foot. Lucas is holding on for now.
McGoo is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
McGoo has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

McGoo gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

Lucas will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
McGoo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lucas swivels though and keeps the full guard.
McGoo stands up from Lucas's guard - McGoo perhaps looking for a knockout.

McGoo closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Lucas quickly recovers to half guard.
McGoo has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
McGoo stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
McGoo has taken the fight to the clinch.
Lucas tries to land knees in the clinch but McGoo avoids the damage to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
McGoo can't break the clinch.
McGoo prevents Lucas from breaking the clinch.
Lucas tries to circle away but McGoo has him pinned against the cage.
McGoo keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Lucas's efforts to push away.
McGoo has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Lucas clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
McGoo has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Lucas has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
McGoo gets his hands free as Lucas looks to control.
Elmer Lucas has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Butch McGoo is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Lucas rolls, trying to escape but McGoo keeps control of the position.

Butch McGoo comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well McGoo has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
