Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Uali Kurzhez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Cook (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Uali Kurzhez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Chris Cook! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Daniel Bishop and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kurzhez throws a right hand that Cook ducks under and follows up with a left that Cook also avoids with ease. Cook closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Cook misses with a body punch.
Cook has picked Kurzhez up - he's going for a ride! Cook dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Cook thows a huge punch but Kurzhez dodges it nicely.
Kurzhez on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kurzhez tries to get out of the position. Kurzhez wants to improve his position but Cook is controlling well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cook sitting and controlling from the half guard. Cook trying to control the action but Kurzhez is working from the bottom. Cook landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Cook performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cook throwing shots but Kurzhez is blocking nicely. Cook thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Well, if Cook is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Kurzhez tries to get to full guard but Cook has control of the leg. Cook thows a huge punch but Kurzhez dodges it nicely.
Cook controlling the action here. Cook looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cook missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Cook is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Chris Cook. Kurzhez tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Kurzhez wants to slow Cook down by chopping away at his legs. Cook shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Kurzhez tries to roll over but Cook keeps him under control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cook takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Cook takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Cook throwing shots but Kurzhez is blocking nicely. Cook trying to control from half guard but Kurzhez is working away. Cook seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Cook trying to pass the guard but Kurzhez defending well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cook controlling the pace. Cook not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Cook with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Chris Cook has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Kurzhez swings away with a leg kick that misses. Cook goes for a double leg but Kurzhez avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Kurzhez continues to drive forward. Kurzhez doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Cook is trying to drag Kurzhez to the mat but Kurzhez just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Kurzhez misses with a shot to the kidneys.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chris Cook dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Cook fails with a takedown attempt. Kurzhez throws a series of punches but Cook avoids them all with ease. Cook scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Cook not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Kurzhez wants to control but Cook is keeping busy and won't allow it. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Kurzhez wants to control but Cook is keeping busy and won't allow it. This has been an exciting period of action! Cook lands a couple of decent looking shots. Cook sitting in guard here, content to control. Cook throws a big right hand that misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cook is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Cook looking to sit in guard and control but Kurzhez gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Kurzhez controlling from the top position.
We're going to have a standup here because Uali Kurzhez wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Cook scores with a nice strike.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kurzhez misses with a few strikes there.
Cook takes a swing at Kurzhez's ribcage but misses. Kurzhez misses with a double jab.
No luck for Cook with that takedown attempt. Chris Cook seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cook throws a chopping leg kick but Kurzhez manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Cook moves in looking to clinch but Kurzhez pushes him off. Cook fails to land the takedown. Uali Kurzhez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris Cook. Cook clinches up with Kurzhez and pushes him back against the cage. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Cook has picked Kurzhez up - he's going for a ride! Chris Cook showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Kurzhez stuffs the takedown. Cook tries to close the distance and clinch but Kurzhez swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Cook rushes Kurzhez and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Cook is working for takedown but Kurzhez is calmly controlling the position for now. Cook has Kurzhez pushed against the cage. Kurzhez prevents the takedown attempt.
Uali Kurzhez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris Cook. Kurzhez is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Kurzhez tries to land knees in the clinch but Cook avoids the damage to the body. Kurzhez pulls guard successfully.
Cook controlling from the top position. Cook trying to control but Kurzhez is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cook trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Kurzhez tries to land a sweep but no joy. Cook wants to control from the top but Kurzhez keeps moving. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Cook looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Chris Cook was stalling too much, according to the referee. Cook misses with a low kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kurzhez fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Cook is out of range. Cook shoots in looking for a takedown but Kurzhez manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Cook's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Cook. Cook dives in for a single leg takedown but Kurzhez sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Cook goes for a takedown attempt but Kurzhez pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Kurzhez feints a jab promting Cook to slip. Kurzhez then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Cook slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Uali Kurzhez has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Cook tries to clinch but Kurzhez is having none of it. Cook wants to clinch up but Kurzhez keeps it at a distance. Cook goes for a double leg but Kurzhez avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Kurzhez continues to drive forward.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kurzhez misses with a hook to the ribs.
Cook tries for a takedown. No joy.
Cook takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Kurzhez has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Cook is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Cook is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Kurzhez working aggressively here.
Kurzhez is trying to break the clinch but Cook has him pressed against the cage. Cook wants to stall.
Cook has Kurzhez pressed against the cage, preventing Kurzhez from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Cook prevents a body shot from Kurzhez. Cook on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Cook is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Kurzhez gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. A short right from Kurzhez on the inside. Cook blocks a body shot from Kurzhez. Kurzhez tries to land a knee to the head but Cook blocks with his arms.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kurzhez misses with a hook to the ribs.
Kurzhez is defending well against a takedown attempt. Kurzhez is trying to force a seperation but Cook has the dominant position. Cook is pressed up against the cage. Kurzhez has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Cook down to the mat. Cook avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Cook tries for a takedown but Kurzhez sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Kurzhez avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
No luck for Cook with that takedown attempt. Chris Cook is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Cook clinches with his opponent.

And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Chris Cook. I've got Cook winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
