The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Troller scores with a takedown into Sims's guard.

Troller wants to stand but Sims is controlling his posture from full guard.

Troller wants to stand and escape but instead Sims has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Troller is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Sims throws a poor cross that misses

and Troller counters by moving into the clinch.
Sims is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Troller pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Come on Troller - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.

Troller pulls guard successfully.
Troller looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sims is one step ahead there.
Troller is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Troller is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Sims avoids the head kick by Troller.

Troller bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Sims stops Troller from passing to mount.
Troller prevents Sims from escaping the position.

Troller swings around for an armbar but Sims sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Troller's guard.

Sims gets caught napping as Troller dives in and scores a takedown. Sims manages to retain guard.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Sims throws the left hand but Troller avoids the punch easily.
Troller shoots in but Sims avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Sims will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Troller closes the distance and pushes Sims back into the cage.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Sims really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Troller breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Sims swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Troller misses with a takedown attempt - Sims sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Troller throws a leg kick but Sims sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Sims avoids the head kick by Troller.
Troller tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Sims swivels and escapes.
Rosendo Sims has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryan Troller.
Troller takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Troller misses with a two punch combination.
Sims looks for a takedown but Troller sprawls well.
Troller tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Troller changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sims tries to avoid it but Troller manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sims to the ground. Sims escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Sims keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Ryan Troller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Troller closes this distance looking for a takedown but Sims circles away.
Troller has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Sims finds it's way round the side to connect with Troller's head.
Sims lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Troller circles away quickly and effectively.

Sims has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Troller is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Troller is trying to maintain a safe position but Sims gets an underhook and turns Troller into the cage.

Sims breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Troller slips a jab and a cross from Sims.
Sims shoots in and drives through. Troller sprawls well.
Sims scores with a nice head shot.

Troller moves into the clinch.
Sims tries to score a body lock takedown but Troller shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Sims wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Sims drops down looking for an ankle pick but Troller pulls his leg out and moves away.

Troller closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Sims quickly recovers to half guard.

Well, if Troller is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
