Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Szymon Kowalski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
18 - 24 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Thomas Raith!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Tarja Halkonen and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kowalski tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Raith paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Kowalski throws a right and a left that both miss.
Raith avoids a punch combination nicely.
Kowalski misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Kowalski throws a series of punches but Raith moves out of range.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Raith.
Kowalski will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Kowalski is trying to break free.
Kowalski wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Raith tries for a takedown but Kowalski manages to get underhooks.
Raith has Kowalski pressed against the cage, preventing Kowalski from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Raith goes for a takedown attempt but Kowalski pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Szymon Kowalski has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Thomas Raith.

Kowalski throws a right and a left that Raith avoids nicely.
Raith darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Raith wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kowalski keeps working.
Kowalski is trying to control but can't.
Raith is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Raith trying to pass the guard but Kowalski defending well.

Raith is taking a breather. Kowalski says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Raith is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Raith stops Kowalski from getting back to his feet.
Raith is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Raith is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Kowalski has managed to free his arm - good work.
Kowalski kicks off Raith and gets to his feet.
Szymon Kowalski is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Kowalski looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Kowalski goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Kowalski instigates a clinch.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Kowalski takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Raith slows down the pace here.

Raith pulls guard successfully.
Raith is trying to control the position but Kowalski postures up.
Kowalski wanted to stand there but Raith had control of the position.
Raith pulls Kowalski in close to prevent any damage.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Raith looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Kowalski is defending well. Raith quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Kowalski has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Raith celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
